Ipswich Book Festival is thrilled to announce that tickets are now on sale, with the full programme for 2025 officially released today.

Taking place across multiple venues in Ipswich over the weekend of 3rd–5th October, the festival promises a packed programme of events for all ages, showcasing an exciting mix of local voices, bestselling authors, and rising literary stars.

Tickets for adult events are priced up to £12, while children’s events are either free or just £3.50 for both children and adult companions – keeping the festival as accessible and family-friendly as possible.

This year’s line-up includes a wide range of genres and topics, from crime fiction to football, history to poetry, and includes illustration workshops, author panels, and storytelling sessions. Notable names appearing at the festival include Eva Verde, Larry Lamb, Elle McNicoll, Dr Annie Gray, Vaseem Khan, CL Miller, Tim Sullivan, and Ashley Hickson-Lovence, among many others. The night before the East Anglian Derby Neil Prentice (co-author of the ITFC icons series) and John Wark will partner up to discuss writing together and of course predictions for the following day.

The festival is the creation of Ipswich Book Festival, founded by local business owners Tony Felgate, Cathy Frost, Andrew Marsh and Emma Lightfoot (pictured above). Their mission is to celebrate Ipswich’s creativity and energy while fostering a love of storytelling across the community.

“We’re excited to bring this vibrant new festival to Ipswich and offer something for everyone – whether you’re a lifelong reader, a budding writer, or a young booklover just starting out,” says Emma.
