Orford eaterie retains its two AA Rosettes
The Crown and Castle is celebrating an outstanding achievement this week after retaining Two AA Rosettes for culinary excellence and its status as a Five Star AA Restaurant with Rooms.
Following a thorough inspection, the Orford hotel – part of The Hotel Folk group – was praised for its warm hospitality, elegant décor, standout service and creative, high-quality menu and received full marks across the board.
The Two Rosette distinction acknowledges excellent restaurants that aim for and achieve higher standards, better consistency, greater precision in cooking and obvious attention to the selection of quality ingredients.
The AA assessment of The Crown and Castle’s food, led by Head Chef, Garry Cook, echoed this, praising the kitchen’s confident execution, seasonal sourcing and balance of flavours across the multi-course menu.
General Manager, John Morell said the whole team was “immensely proud” of the prestigious dual accolade recognising exceptional standards in both food and guest experience.
“To retain both our Two Rosettes and Five Star Restaurant with Rooms status is a fantastic achievement,” he said. “It reflects the tireless work of our team, from the chefs creating inspired seasonal dishes to the front-of-house team offering thoughtful, personalised service.
