Believ hosts EV Help Desk Day in Ipswich THIS WEEK!
Residents can download the Believ app
Residents in Ipswich are invited to visit charge point operator Believ’s EV Help Desk Day at The Hold on Thursday 28th May, from 10am to mid-afternoon. The event provides a friendly, informal space for residents to speak with electric vehicle (EV) experts, ask questions about public charging, and learn more about EV ownership. Believ has partnered with Suffolk County Council to deliver a major boost to electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure across the county, with around 6,000 new public charge points set to be installed as part of the council’s Plug in Suffolk programme.
Believ’s Head of Consumer and Head of Public Sector Partnerships will be on hand to provide practical guidance on EVs, public and on-street charging, and how local infrastructure supports cleaner air and healthier communities. Attendees will also learn how charge points make EV ownership easier - even for those without driveways - and how public charging is safe, convenient, and reliable.
Residents are encouraged to drop by, ask questions, and explore how local EV infrastructure benefits their streets and the environment.
The Help Desk Day is part of Believ’s wider mission to support communities in Suffolk, improve understanding of EV technology, and make the transition to cleaner transport simple and inclusive.
Under a long-term partnership with Suffolk County Council, at least 2,100 on-street charge points will be installed by 2027, with the network expected to expand to around 6,000 as demand grows. Believ’s hardware-agnostic approach ensures the right chargers are installed in the right locations, while 100% renewable electricity and resident-friendly tariffs, including off-peak overnight rates, make charging simple and affordable. Early community feedback has already shown strong support for the rollout, demonstrating the value of local EV infrastructure.
